The Morgan & Bond team recently completed extensive remedial works at a property showing significant levels of excess moisture, structural deterioration, and widespread mould contamination.
Upon inspection, our surveyors identified:
– Severe low‑level moisture damage – heavy staining, thick mould growth, warped timber, and detritus throughout the hallway and ground floor.
– Condensation-related mould at higher levels – sporadic growth across walls and ceilings, signalling a serious lack of ventilation and poor air exchange.
Despite the challenging conditions, our operatives have now delivered a full programme of remediation and reinstatement works, including:
Kitchen:
– Full mould treatment to walls and ceiling
– Removal and replacement of moisture‑damaged plasterboard and skirting
– Window servicing to restore full operation
– Heavy clean and waste removal
– Replacement timber door architrave
– Removal of damaged base units and full kitchen unit replacement
– Complete redecoration
– Boiler service and full reinstatement after prolonged inactivity
Bathroom:
– Full mould treatment to walls and ceiling
– Bath panel renewed following leak repairs
– Window serviced, deep cleaned, and safety mechanism replaced
– Plaster repairs to window reveals
– Radiator replacement
– New floor covering installed
– PIV system vent replaced
– Replacement of damaged door framing timber
– Full redecoration completed
Bedrooms, Hall, Stairs & Landing:
– Mould treatment to all ceilings and walls
– Servicing of all windows, including new handles to ensure correct operation
– Cleaning and waste removal
– Localised plaster skimming to blown areas around window reveals
– Full redecoration throughout
At Morgan & Bond, we’re committed to restoring properties to safe, healthy living standards, no matter the severity of the initial condition. This project is a testament to the team’s expertise, resilience, and dedication to quality.
